Description

This refreshing 5-Minute Mango Lime Sorbet is a naturally sweet, creamy frozen dessert made from frozen mangoes, bananas, maple syrup, and fresh lime juice. Perfect for a quick, healthy treat that’s dairy-free and vegan-friendly, this sorbet combines tropical fruit flavors with a hint of tangy lime for a bright, satisfying dessert in just minutes.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 2 cups frozen bananas
  • 2 cups frozen mango

Other Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 limes, juiced

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients to blender or processor: Place the frozen mango chunks, frozen banana pieces, maple syrup, and freshly squeezed lime juice into a high-powered blender or food processor. Pulse continuously just until the frozen fruit starts to break down. Then turn off the machine and stir the mixture with a spoon or rubber spatula to help ensure all the fruit is evenly incorporated.
  2. Blend until smooth: Blend the mixture continuously until it reaches a smooth, creamy consistency, similar to soft-serve ice cream. Serve immediately for the best texture, or transfer to a container and freeze if you prefer a firmer sorbet. See notes for freezing tips.

Notes

  • For a firmer texture, freeze the sorbet in an airtight container for 1-2 hours before serving.
  • If the sorbet becomes too hard after freezing, let it sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before scooping.
  • You can substitute maple syrup with agave nectar or honey if preferred.
  • This sorbet is naturally vegan and dairy-free.
