Description
This quick and easy Baileys Fudge recipe combines rich dark and milk chocolate with creamy condensed milk and the smooth flavor of Baileys Irish Cream to create a decadent treat. Perfect for holiday celebrations or anytime you want a deliciously indulgent sweet, this fudge sets overnight in the fridge and can be decorated with festive sprinkles for a fun finishing touch.
Ingredients
Fudge Ingredients
- 350 g Dark chocolate (use good quality chocolate for best results)
- 350 g Milk chocolate
- 397 g Condensed milk (sweetened)
- 150 ml Baileys Irish cream
- Sprinkles (Christmas-themed, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Break both the dark and milk chocolate into small pieces to ensure they melt evenly and quickly. Place the chocolate pieces in a large microwavable bowl along with the condensed milk and Baileys Irish cream.
- Microwave and Mix: Microwave the chocolate mixture for 30 seconds, then beat vigorously until the mixture is smooth and thick. Repeat microwaving and beating for another 1 to 2 cycles of 30 seconds each until the fudge mixture is very thick, smooth, and fully combined.
- Set the Fudge: Line a small dish or baking tray with baking paper, then pour the fudge mixture into it. Smooth out the surface evenly with a spatula. If desired, sprinkle Christmas-themed sprinkles evenly over the top for decoration.
- Chill Overnight: Place the dish in the refrigerator and allow the fudge to set overnight. This helps it firm up to a perfect cutting consistency.
- Cut and Store: Once set, lift the fudge out of the dish using the baking paper, cut it into small cubes or squares, and store the pieces in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.
Notes
- Use good quality chocolate for the best flavor and texture.
- Condensed milk is essential for the fudgy consistency; do not substitute with evaporated milk.
- Microwave times may vary depending on your oven’s power—heat and beat until thick and smooth, but avoid overheating which can cause the chocolate to seize.
- Sprinkles are optional but add a festive touch to the fudge.
- Store fudge in the refrigerator to maintain texture and freshness.
