Description

These Bang Bang Chicken Sliders feature crispy chicken coated in a spicy, creamy sauce, served in soft buns. They’re perfect for a party, game day, or a fun twist on traditional sliders.

Ingredients

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

12 tbsp sriracha sauce (depending on desired spice level)

12 slider buns

Lettuce leaves (optional, for garnish)

Pickles (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Slice the chicken breasts into smaller pieces that fit your slider buns. Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Coat the chicken: Dip each piece of chicken into the buttermilk, ensuring it’s fully coated. Then dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing down lightly to ensure an even coat.
  3. Cook the chicken: Heat a large skillet or deep fryer over medium heat and fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes per side). Remove from heat and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  4. Prepare the Bang Bang sauce: In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha sauce. Adjust the amount of sriracha based on your preferred spice level.
  5. Assemble the sliders: Place the cooked chicken on the slider buns. Drizzle the Bang Bang sauce over the chicken. Add lettuce and pickles if desired.
  6. Serve: Place the top bun on and serve immediately.

Notes

  1. For a healthier alternative, bake the chicken instead of frying it.
  2. For a vegetarian option, replace the chicken with crispy cauliflower or plant-based chicken.
  3. Adjust the spiciness of the Bang Bang sauce by adding more or less sriracha.
  4. Double coat the chicken for extra crispiness.
  5. For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free flour alternative and buns.
