Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 15 oz can black beans (drained and rinsed)
 - 3 large eggs
 - ½ cup pure maple syrup
 - ⅓ cup melted coconut oil
 - ¼ cup cocoa powder (or raw cacao powder)
 - ⅛ teaspoon fine sea salt
 - ½ teaspoon baking powder
 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Add-ins
- ½ cup dairy-free chocolate chips
 - ⅓ cup chopped raw walnuts (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
 - Blend Ingredients: In a food processor or blender, combine the drained and rinsed black beans, eggs, pure maple syrup, melted coconut oil, cocoa powder, fine sea salt, baking powder, and pure vanilla extract. Blend until the batter is completely smooth and creamy.
 - Stir In Add-ins: Remove the blade attachment and gently fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips and chopped raw walnuts if using. Alternatively, you can sprinkle the walnuts on top after pouring the batter into the pan.
 - Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the brownies are set in the center and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
 - Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into 16 squares. Enjoy your nutritious and delicious black bean brownies!

Notes
- For a nut-free version, simply omit the walnuts.
 - If you don’t have dairy-free chocolate chips, regular chocolate chips can be used unless dairy-free is required.
 - Ensure black beans are thoroughly rinsed to remove excess sodium and any canned taste.
 - Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
 - These brownies can also be frozen for up to 3 months; thaw before serving.
