Ingredients
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 large egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese together.
- Scoop about a tablespoon of the cheese mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat with the remaining cheese mixture.
- In a small bowl, whisk the egg until well beaten.
- Place the flour, garlic powder, and onion powder into a shallow dish.
- In another shallow dish, add the breadcrumbs.
- Take each cheese ball and roll it first in the flour mixture, then dip it into the egg, and finally coat it in the breadcrumbs.
- Heat a couple of tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the cheese balls for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
