Description

Chicken Garlic Parmesan Pasta is a creamy, flavorful dish combining tender chicken, garlic, Parmesan cheese, and a rich creamy sauce that coats pasta. It’s easy to make, perfect for any occasion, and will quickly become a family favorite.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast, diced

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

8 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced chicken and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using). Cook until browned and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer again. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 4-5 minutes.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, then toss in the cooked pasta. Stir to coat everything in the creamy sauce and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
  7. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  1. Add vegetables like spinach, broccoli, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra nutrition.
  2. For a spicy version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  3. For gluten-free, use gluten-free pasta.
  4. Experiment with different cheeses like mozzarella or Asiago.
  5. This dish stores well and makes a great meal prep option for up to 3 days.
