Ingredients
Brownie Base
- 185 g Unsalted Butter
- 185 g Dark Chocolate
- 85 g Plain Flour
- 40 g Cocoa Powder
- 3 Eggs
- 275 g Caster Sugar
Mix-ins
- 50 g Kinder Bars
- 130 g Kinder Bueno Bars
- 85 g Kinderella Sauce
Instructions
- Prepare Kinderella Sauce Balls: Divide the Kinderella Sauce into small ball-shaped portions, place them on a lined baking tin, and freeze for about an hour to firm up.
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Tin: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a 20 cm (8 inch) square baking tin with parchment paper.
- Melt Chocolate and Butter: Melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter together using a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl until smooth, then set aside to cool to room temperature.
- Whisk Eggs and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs with the caster sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Combine Chocolate Mixture: Gradually add the cooled chocolate and butter mixture into the egg and sugar mixture, whisking continuously until fully combined.
- Sift Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the plain flour and cocoa powder.
- Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Slowly fold the sifted flour and cocoa powder mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined to avoid overmixing.
- Add Kinder Chunks and Frozen Sauce Balls: Roughly break the Kinder Bars and Kinder Bueno Bars into small chunks and fold them into the batter alongside the frozen balls of Kinderella Sauce, distributing them evenly.
- Pour Batter into Tin: Pour the brownie batter into the lined baking tin and spread it evenly with a spatula or wooden spoon.
- Bake: Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top has developed a crackly layer. Gently wobble the tin to check; if the center appears runny, bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.
- Cool: Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely in the tin on a wire rack.
- Slice and Serve: Once cooled and set, lift the brownies out of the tin using the parchment paper, cut into 16 individual portions, and serve immediately or store once completely cooled.
Notes
- Make sure not to overmix the batter to keep the brownies fudgy.
- Freezing the Kinderella sauce balls helps them hold their shape during baking, giving gooey pockets inside the brownies.
- Use parchment paper to line the baking tin for easy removal of the brownies.
- Baking times may vary slightly depending on your oven; check for the crackly top as a doneness indicator.
- Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
