Description

These Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Clusters are a delicious and healthier treat combining the richness of chocolate with the tangy goodness of Greek yogurt and sweet strawberries. Perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth, they offer a delightful balance of creamy, crunchy, and fruity flavors.

Ingredients

1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

1/2 cup dark chocolate (or milk chocolate, depending on preference)

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon honey (optional)

1/4 cup crushed nuts (optional, for extra crunch)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and honey. Stir well until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the yogurt mixture.
  4. Using a spoon, drop small spoonfuls of the yogurt-strawberry mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming little clusters.
  5. In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate (or milk chocolate) in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth and completely melted.
  6. Drizzle or spoon the melted chocolate over each yogurt cluster, ensuring some of the yogurt is coated with chocolate.
  7. If you’re using crushed nuts, sprinkle them on top of the clusters for added texture and flavor.
  8. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 1 hour, or until the clusters are firm and set.
  9. Once frozen, remove the clusters from the parchment paper and store them in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

  1. You can substitute Greek yogurt with non-dairy alternatives like coconut, almond, or soy yogurt.
  2. Store these clusters in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2-3 weeks.
  3. Fresh strawberries are recommended for best texture. If using frozen, make sure they are fully thawed and drained.
  4. You can skip the honey for a sugar-free version or use other sweeteners like maple syrup.
  5. For extra flavor, you can add toppings such as shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips, or a sprinkle of sea salt.
