Description

Creamy ranch chicken is a comforting, flavorful dish featuring tender chicken cooked in a rich, creamy ranch sauce. It’s quick and easy to make, perfect for weeknight meals and pairs well with rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 packet ranch seasoning mix

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Place the chicken in the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and ranch seasoning mix. Stir well to combine.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  6. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the creamy sauce. Simmer for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  8. Serve the creamy ranch chicken with your favorite side dish and enjoy!

Notes

  1. If you prefer a thicker sauce, add a little cornstarch or flour mixed with water to the simmering sauce.
  2. For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  3. Can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or whole milk, though the sauce will be less rich.
  4. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  5. For a vegetarian option, swap chicken for firm tofu or hearty vegetables like cauliflower or mushrooms.
  6. Make this dish ahead and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
