Description

Ingredients

10 large marshmallows

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk

1 large egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Vegetable oil (for frying)

Powdered sugar (for dusting)


Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C), ensuring enough oil to fully submerge the marshmallows.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring to form a thick batter.
  5. Dip each marshmallow into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  6. Carefully lower the coated marshmallow into the hot oil and fry for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Repeat with the remaining marshmallows.
  8. Once all marshmallows are fried, dust them with powdered sugar before serving.
