Ingredients
10 large marshmallows
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C), ensuring enough oil to fully submerge the marshmallows.
 - In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
 - Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring to form a thick batter.
 - Dip each marshmallow into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
 - Carefully lower the coated marshmallow into the hot oil and fry for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove and drain on paper towels.
 - Repeat with the remaining marshmallows.
 - Once all marshmallows are fried, dust them with powdered sugar before serving.
 
Notes
- For a variation, dip the fried marshmallows in melted chocolate for an extra layer of flavor.
 - Add cinnamon, nutmeg, or cocoa powder to the batter for additional flavor.
