Description

Doritos Pizza Rolls combine the irresistible crunch of Doritos with the gooey, savory goodness of pizza. These bite-sized snacks are perfect for parties, game days, or a fun weeknight treat. With melted cheese, pepperoni, and the bold flavor of Doritos, every bite delivers a satisfying combination of crispy and cheesy deliciousness.


Ingredients

1 bag of Doritos (Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch)

1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup of mini pepperoni or regular pepperoni slices

1/4 cup of pizza sauce (for dipping)

1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter (for brushing)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Crush the Doritos into small pieces, either by placing them in a bag and using a rolling pin or pulsing them in a food processor.
  3. Lay out a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet.
  4. Take a small spoonful of shredded mozzarella cheese and place it in the center of each Dorito piece. Add a few pieces of mini pepperoni on top of the cheese.
  5. Gently roll each piece into a small, tight roll, ensuring the cheese and pepperoni stay inside.
  6. Brush the outside of each roll lightly with olive oil or melted butter to help them crisp up in the oven.
  7. Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve immediately with pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  1. For a meatless option, skip the pepperoni and add vegetables like mushrooms, olives, or bell peppers.
  2. Experiment with different cheeses like cheddar, provolone, or a blend of cheeses for a more robust flavor.
  3. For a spicy twist, use spicy Doritos or add jalapeños to the filling.
  4. In addition to pizza sauce, ranch dressing, garlic butter, or marinara make great dipping sauces.
  5. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven at 375°F for 5-7 minutes to restore their crispiness.
