Description

A quick and delightful dessert perfect for sharing, this Easy Oven S’mores Dip combines melted semisweet chocolate and toasted marshmallows, served warm with crispy graham crackers or fruit for dipping. Enjoy all the classic s’mores flavors melted into a rich, gooey dip that’s ready in minutes using your oven broiler.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 15-20 marshmallows, halved

For Dipping

  • Graham crackers
  • Speculoos cookies
  • Fruit (such as strawberries or apple slices)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Broiler: Set your oven rack in the upper half, about 5 inches from the broiler element, and preheat the broiler on high for immediate use.
  2. Melt Chocolate: In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet chocolate chips and milk. Microwave in 15-second intervals for a total of one minute, stirring thoroughly between each interval. If the chocolate remains unmelted, continue heating in 10-second bursts, stirring well until smooth and fully melted to avoid overheating.
  3. Assemble Dip: Pour the melted chocolate mixture into an oven-safe skillet or casserole dish, preferably an 8-inch cast iron skillet (about 3 1/2 cups capacity). Evenly arrange the halved marshmallows over the top of the chocolate.
  4. Broil the Dip: Place the skillet under the preheated broiler. Toast the marshmallows carefully, watching closely, until they are golden brown and slightly bubbly. This will happen quickly, so do not step away.
  5. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately with graham crackers, speculoos cookies, and/or fruit for dipping. Enjoy the warm, gooey s’mores dip!

Notes

  • Keep a close eye during broiling to prevent marshmallows from burning.
  • Use an oven-safe skillet to facilitate broiling and easy serving.
  • This dip is best served warm and fresh for optimal gooey texture.
  • Feel free to experiment with different dippers like pretzels or sliced bananas.
