1 pack of instant ramen noodles (discard the seasoning packet)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional for heat)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
2 green onions, chopped (optional for garnish)

-
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, brown sugar, minced garlic, and chili flakes (if using).

Heat a small pan over medium heat and pour the sauce mixture in. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly and the garlic becomes fragrant.
-
Add the cooked noodles to the pan with the sauce and toss to coat the noodles evenly.
-
Transfer the noodles to serving bowls and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.
Notes
- Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
- Reheating: Microwave with a splash of water or reheat in a pan with a little soy sauce to loosen up the sauce.
- Variations: Add protein (chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu) or vegetables (spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers) for a heartier meal. For extra spice, increase chili flakes or add sriracha.
