Description

This easy and fun bark recipe features swirls of semi-sweet and white chocolate adorned with festive candy corn, eyeballs, Halloween sprinkles, and optional mini pretzels or M&M’s. Perfect for parties, trick-or-treat treats, or holiday gifts, this no-bake dessert is quick to prepare, customizable, and sure to delight both kids and adults with its colorful and playful presentation.

Ingredients

Chocolate Base

  • 12 oz (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 6 oz (170 g) white chocolate chips

Toppings

  • ½ cup candy corn
  • ¼ cup candy eyeballs
  • ¼ cup Halloween sprinkles
  • ¼ cup mini pretzels or M&M’s (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pan: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal of the bark once it sets.
  2. Melt Chocolate: Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth and fully melted. Pour and spread the melted chocolate into an even layer over the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: Using the same method, melt the white chocolate chips. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer and use a toothpick or skewer to swirl it gently, creating a marbled effect.
  4. Add Toppings: While the chocolate is still warm, quickly sprinkle the candy corn, candy eyeballs, Halloween sprinkles, and optional mini pretzels or M&M’s evenly over the surface. Press the toppings lightly to help them adhere.
  5. Chill: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully hardened.
  6. Break: Once set, remove the bark from the fridge and break it into irregular pieces. Serve immediately or store appropriately.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for a smoother melt and richer flavor.
  • Work quickly to add toppings while the chocolate is still warm for best adhesion.
  • Avoid spreading the chocolate too thickly to ensure the bark breaks easily.
  • Store the bark in a cool place to prevent melting and maintain texture.
