Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 16 ounces frozen mango chunks
- 8 ounces mango nectar
- ¼ cup agave nectar
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 4 ounces tequila blanco
For Garnish and Serving
- 2 tbsp chamoy sauce (more or less to taste)
- Tajín seasoning (for garnish)
- ½ tsp agave nectar (for garnish)
- Tamarind straws (to serve)
- Lime wedges (to serve)
Instructions
- Blend Ingredients. Combine the frozen mango chunks, mango nectar, tequila blanco, lime juice, and agave nectar in a blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and fully combined, creating a vibrant mango margarita base.
- Prepare Glass Rim. While blending, brush a small amount of agave nectar around the rim or a side of each drinking glass to help the seasoning adhere properly.
- Coat Glass with Tajín. Pour Tajín seasoning onto a small plate, then thoroughly coat the rim or side of the glasses with the seasoning to add a spicy and tangy flavor contrast.
- Drizzle Chamoy. Using a small spoon or squeeze bottle, drizzle chamoy sauce inside the bottom and along the inner sides of the prepared glasses, adding a burst of sweet and spicy flavor.
- Serve the Margarita. Pour the blended mango mixture into each glass over the chamoy drizzle. Garnish with lime wedges and tamarind straws. Serve immediately to enjoy a chilled, flavorful frozen margarita.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of agave nectar based on your desired sweetness.
- Chamoy sauce can be added more or less depending on your spice preference.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit tequila and add extra mango nectar or lime juice.
- Use quality frozen mango to retain the best texture and flavor.
- Rimming the glass with agave and Tajín adds both texture and a playful spicy kick to every sip.
