Description

Homemade Peach Lemonade is a delightful blend of juicy peaches and tangy lemons, perfect for cooling off on a warm day. With a balance of sweet and tart flavors, this refreshing drink elevates classic lemonade by infusing it with fresh peach goodness.

Ingredients

3 cups fresh ripe peaches, sliced (or frozen peaches)

1 cup granulated sugar or honey

1 cup water (for syrup)

1/3 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 48 lemons)

3 cups cold water (for mixing lemonade)

Ice (optional)

Fresh peach or lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the peaches and add them to a saucepan with 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar or honey.
  2. Simmer over medium heat for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is fragrant and the peaches are soft.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing the solids to extract maximum flavor. Let the syrup cool completely.
  4. In a pitcher, combine 1 cup peach syrup, 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice, and 3 cups cold water. Stir well to mix.
  5. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (optional).
  6. To serve, fill glasses with ice, pour in the peach lemonade, and garnish with fresh peach or lemon slices or mint.

Notes

  1. Use honey, agave, or other sweeteners to adjust sweetness to preference.
  2. Try sparkling water instead of still water for a fizzy version.
  3. Blend with ice for a frozen slushy-style lemonade.
  4. Add spirits like vodka or bourbon for a cocktail twist.
  5. Refrigerate syrup for up to 2 weeks; lemonade stays fresh 5–7 days.
