Ingredients
4 cups frozen French fries or homemade fries
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Spread the frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake the fries for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- While the fries are baking, cook the bacon and crumble it into small pieces.
- Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and immediately sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the fries. Return to the oven for 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the fries from the oven and top with crumbled bacon, sour cream, and chopped green onions.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Vegetarian Version: Skip the bacon and add extra vegetables like sautéed mushrooms, peppers, or onions.
- Spicy Version: Add sliced jalapeños or drizzle with hot sauce for a spicy kick.
- Cheese Lovers: Use a mix of cheeses such as mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or pepper jack to make it extra cheesy.
- BBQ Loaded Fries: Swap sour cream for barbecue sauce and add pulled pork or grilled chicken.
