Description

A deliciously smooth and crunchy Malteser Fudge made with just three main ingredients—milk chocolate, condensed milk, and Maltesers. This easy fudge recipe can be prepared quickly using either a microwave or a slow cooker, topped with melted white chocolate and extra Maltesers for an irresistible treat perfect for sharing or gifting.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 400 g Milk chocolate
  • 397 g Condensed milk (1 tin)
  • 200 g Maltesers

Topping

  • 150 g White chocolate (melted)
  • 160 g Maltesers (some chopped in half and some crushed)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place the milk chocolate and condensed milk into a large microwave-safe bowl or slow cooker insert.
  2. Microwave Method: Microwave the mixture for 30 seconds, then stir well. Repeat heating in 30-second intervals up to two more times until the mixture becomes very thick and smooth. Let it cool for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Slow Cooker Method: Cook the milk chocolate and condensed milk mixture in the slow cooker on low for 40-50 minutes, stirring regularly. Beat well if mixture looks lumpy or separated until silky smooth and thick.
  4. Incorporate Maltesers: Mix 200 g of Maltesers into the thick chocolate mixture and stir thoroughly to combine.
  5. Prepare Dish: Line a baking dish with baking paper and pour in the fudge mixture. Smooth out evenly using a spatula.
  6. Add Toppings: Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the fudge surface. Then gently press the remaining 160 g of Maltesers (chopped and crushed) evenly across the top.
  7. Chill: Refrigerate the fudge overnight to set properly.
  8. Serve: Once firm, cut the fudge into small pieces and keep refrigerated until ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • Use good quality milk chocolate for best flavor and texture.
  • If the fudge mixture splits or becomes lumpy, continue beating vigorously until smooth.
  • You can adjust the amount of Maltesers according to preference for crunchiness.
  • Store fudge covered in the fridge for up to one week.
