Description
Maple Glazed Mini Donuts are soft, fluffy baked treats topped with a sweet maple glaze. They’re easy to make and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or snacking.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a mini donut pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined—do not overmix.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly touched and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- To make the glaze, whisk together maple syrup, melted butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Dip the tops of each cooled donut into the glaze and set back on the wire rack for the glaze to set.
Notes
- Use real maple syrup for the best flavor in the glaze.
- Mini muffin pans can be used if you don’t have a donut pan.
- Add chopped nuts or crumbled bacon for extra flavor and texture.
- Glaze only when donuts are fully cooled to avoid melting the glaze.
- Store in an airtight container to keep the donuts soft and fresh.
