Description

Maple Glazed Mini Donuts are soft, fluffy baked treats topped with a sweet maple glaze. They’re easy to make and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or snacking.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a mini donut pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined—do not overmix.
  5. Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly touched and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. To make the glaze, whisk together maple syrup, melted butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  9. Dip the tops of each cooled donut into the glaze and set back on the wire rack for the glaze to set.

Notes

  • Use real maple syrup for the best flavor in the glaze.
  • Mini muffin pans can be used if you don’t have a donut pan.
  • Add chopped nuts or crumbled bacon for extra flavor and texture.
  • Glaze only when donuts are fully cooled to avoid melting the glaze.
  • Store in an airtight container to keep the donuts soft and fresh.
