Description

These No-Bake Turtle Dream Bars combine the richness of caramel, toasted pecans, and smooth chocolate in a decadent, no-bake dessert. Perfect for any occasion, they’re the kind of indulgence that will have everyone asking for the recipe!

Ingredients

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

½ cup melted butter

1 cup chopped pecans, toasted

1 ½ cups sweetened condensed milk

1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

½ cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare a 9×9-inch square baking dish, greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Mix the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter in a bowl until well combined. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
  3. Sprinkle the toasted pecans over the graham cracker crust, spreading them out evenly.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, caramel sauce, and vanilla extract. Pour this mixture over the pecans, ensuring it’s spread out evenly.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  7. Refrigerate the bars for at least 2-3 hours to allow the layers to set. For best results, refrigerate overnight.
  8. Once set, cut the bars into squares. Drizzle extra caramel sauce on top before serving for an extra touch of sweetness.

Notes

  1. For nut-free bars, replace the pecans with crispy rice cereal or additional graham cracker crumbs for crunch.
  2. Swap semi-sweet chocolate chips with milk or dark chocolate for different flavor profiles.
  3. If you don’t have caramel sauce, you can melt caramel candies with a little cream to make your own.
  4. Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
  5. These bars are meant to be enjoyed chilled, but you can warm them for a few seconds in the microwave if you prefer a slightly warm caramel experience.
