Ingredients
2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
8 ounces egg noodles
2 tablespoons butter
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme.
-
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, add chicken broth, bring to a simmer, and scrape the bottom of the skillet to deglaze.
-
Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the egg noodles and cook for 8-10 minutes, until noodles are tender and the sauce has thickened.
-
Slice the cooked chicken breasts into strips.
-
Once noodles are done, stir in the butter until melted and combined.
-
Return sliced chicken to the pan, toss to combine with the noodles.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
