Description

One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles is a quick, easy, and comforting weeknight meal. Juicy chicken breasts cooked with tender egg noodles in a creamy, buttery sauce. This flavorful, one-pan dish is perfect for busy nights and delivers all the savory goodness with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

8 ounces egg noodles

2 tablespoons butter

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add chicken broth, bring to a simmer, and scrape the bottom of the skillet to deglaze.

  4. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the egg noodles and cook for 8-10 minutes, until noodles are tender and the sauce has thickened.

  5. Slice the cooked chicken breasts into strips.

  6. Once noodles are done, stir in the butter until melted and combined.

  7. Return sliced chicken to the pan, toss to combine with the noodles.

  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

  1. Add vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers to the pan for extra flavor and nutrition.
  2. To make it spicy, add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
  3. For a cheesy twist, stir in grated parmesan or mozzarella.
  4. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat on low heat with a splash of milk or broth.
