Description
A refreshing summer drink that combines the sweetness of peaches with the tartness of lemons, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
4 ripe peaches, peeled and pitted
1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)
1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
4 cups cold water
Ice cubes
Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Peaches: Start by peeling and pitting the peaches. Cut them into chunks to make them easier to blend.
- Blend the Peaches: In a blender, combine the peach chunks with 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth.
- Make the Lemonade Base: In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, sugar, and the remaining 3 cups of water. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Mix Peach Puree: Pour the peach puree into the pitcher with the lemonade mixture and stir to combine.
- Taste and Adjust: Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if desired. If it’s too thick, add a bit more water to reach your preferred consistency.
- Chill and Serve: Add ice cubes to the pitcher or directly to glasses when serving. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for an extra touch of freshness.
Notes
- For a fizzy twist, substitute some of the water with sparkling water or club soda.
- Replace the sugar with a sugar substitute or use honey/agave for a natural sweetener.
- Store leftover peach lemonade in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- If using frozen peaches, thaw them slightly before blending.
- For a tangier drink, increase the amount of lemon juice.
