Description
Stovetop Stuffing Meatloaf is a quick and flavorful twist on a classic comfort food. Made with boxed stuffing mix, it’s perfectly seasoned, moist, and easy to prepare—ideal for busy weeknights or a cozy family dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or leaner)
- 1 box (6 oz) stovetop stuffing mix (any flavor)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup water or milk
- 1/3 cup ketchup (plus more for topping)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, dry stuffing mix, eggs, water or milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix thoroughly by hand or with a spoon until evenly combined. Do not overmix.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan or on a baking sheet.
- Spread a layer of ketchup over the top of the loaf for a glaze.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Do not prepare the stuffing mix—use it dry straight from the box.
- Milk gives a richer flavor, but water works well too.
- For added flavor, mix in chopped onions, peppers, or cheese.
- Make mini meatloaves in a muffin tin—bake for 25–30 minutes.
- Leftovers are great for sandwiches or meal prep.
