Description

Stovetop Stuffing Meatloaf is a quick and flavorful twist on a classic comfort food. Made with boxed stuffing mix, it’s perfectly seasoned, moist, and easy to prepare—ideal for busy weeknights or a cozy family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 or leaner)
  • 1 box (6 oz) stovetop stuffing mix (any flavor)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup water or milk
  • 1/3 cup ketchup (plus more for topping)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, dry stuffing mix, eggs, water or milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix thoroughly by hand or with a spoon until evenly combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan or on a baking sheet.
  5. Spread a layer of ketchup over the top of the loaf for a glaze.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Do not prepare the stuffing mix—use it dry straight from the box.
  • Milk gives a richer flavor, but water works well too.
  • For added flavor, mix in chopped onions, peppers, or cheese.
  • Make mini meatloaves in a muffin tin—bake for 25–30 minutes.
  • Leftovers are great for sandwiches or meal prep.
