Description

Strawberry Lasagna is a delightful layered dessert featuring a graham cracker crust, creamy cheesecake layer, strawberry Jello and fresh strawberries, all topped with fluffy Cool Whip. This no-bake treat combines sweet, tangy, and creamy textures, perfect for parties or a refreshing summer snack.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 14.4 oz graham crackers (1 standard box)
  • 8 Tablespoons butter (melted)

Cheesecake Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz Cool Whip (one container)

Strawberry Jello Layer

  • 3 oz strawberry Jello mix (1 box)
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 8 oz Cool Whip (one container)
  • 3 cups strawberries (chopped)

Topping

  • 8 oz Cool Whip (one container)
  • 1 cup strawberries (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the Crust: Place graham crackers in a large food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs. Slowly add the melted butter while processing at low speed, combining the mixture. Press this mixture evenly into a 9×13 inch casserole dish and place it in the freezer to firm up while preparing other layers.
  2. Prepare Cheesecake Layer: In a large bowl, whip the softened cream cheese together with powdered sugar until smooth. Gently fold in one 8 oz container of Cool Whip until fully combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled graham cracker crust. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.
  3. Make Strawberry Jello Layer: Dissolve the strawberry Jello powder in 1/2 cup boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved. Allow it to cool to near room temperature, then add 1/2 cup cold water. Wait an additional 5-10 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly but does not set. Fold in one 8 oz container of Cool Whip and then stir in 3 cups of chopped strawberries, reserving around 1 cup for garnish. Spread this mixture evenly over the cheesecake layer and refrigerate for 30 to 45 minutes.
  4. Add Top Layer and Garnish: Spread the last 8 oz container of Cool Whip evenly over the strawberry Jello layer. Add the remaining 1 cup of chopped fresh strawberries on top for garnish. Place the entire dish in the refrigerator or freezer for a couple of hours to allow all layers to fully set.
  5. Serve: Before serving, run a knife under hot water and dry it to make clean, neat slices. Cut the strawberry lasagna into 15 servings and enjoy.

Notes

  • Do not refrigerate the Jello mixture right away after dissolving, to avoid premature setting. Let it cool on the counter first.
  • If you want firmer layers faster, the dish can be frozen for a couple of hours, but thaw slightly before serving for best texture.
  • Using a hot water knife helps to create clean slices without smearing the layers.
  • Fresh strawberries add a burst of flavor and make the dessert visually appealing.
