Description

Recreate the bold flavors of Texas Roadhouse’s pork chops with this easy recipe. Juicy, tender pork chops seasoned with a perfect blend of spices and cooked to perfection, just like at the restaurant!

Ingredients

2 bone-in pork chops

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon chili powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary

Instructions

  • Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.

  • In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and thyme or rosemary.

  • Rub olive oil over both sides of the pork chops, then coat with the spice mixture.

  • Place the pork chops on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.

  • In the last minute of cooking, add butter to the skillet or on top of the pork chops on the grill.

  • Once done, remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  1. For grilling, follow the same instructions, but use the grill instead of a skillet.
  2. If you like it sweet, brush the chops with honey or maple syrup in the last minute of cooking for a glaze.
  3. You can substitute boneless pork chops for bone-in chops, but they’ll cook faster.
