Description
TikTok Ramen is a viral, quick, and easy ramen hack that combines traditional ramen noodles with a unique sauce made of butter, soy sauce, and seasoning. It’s a comforting, simple meal that’s full of umami and perfect for anyone craving a fast yet satisfying bowl of noodles.
Ingredients
1 package of instant ramen noodles (any flavor)
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chili paste (optional, for a spicy kick)
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1/4 cup water
1 green onion (for garnish, optional)
1 boiled egg (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Usually, this involves boiling the noodles for 3-4 minutes in a pot of water. Once done, drain and set aside, reserving about 1/4 cup of the cooking water.
- In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the soy sauce, garlic powder, chili paste (if using), sesame oil, sugar, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Add the reserved cooking water to the pot and stir until the sauce becomes smooth and slightly thickened.
- Return the cooked ramen noodles to the pot and toss them in the sauce until well-coated.
- Serve the ramen in a bowl, garnishing with chopped green onions and a boiled egg if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
- Vegetable Additions: Add spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra texture and flavor.
- Protein: Add a boiled egg, tofu, or grilled chicken for a protein boost.
- Spicy Version: Increase the amount of chili paste or add red pepper flakes for a spicier kick.
- Vegan Version: Use a plant-based butter and soy sauce to make it vegan-friendly.
- Storage/Reheating: Store any leftover TikTok Ramen in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. When reheating, add a splash of water or broth to loosen the sauce, and warm it up in a microwave or on the stovetop.
