Description

This No Bake Oreo Dessert is a quick and indulgent treat that combines crushed Oreo cookies with a creamy whipped filling. Perfect for Oreo lovers, this dessert requires no baking and can be prepared in just 10 minutes, then chilled for a few hours to set. With a crunchy cookie crust topped by a fluffy, rich cream layer and finished with cookie crumbs, it’s easy to make and sure to impress.

Ingredients

Crust and Topping

  • 25 Oreo cookies (regular, not double cream)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)

Filling

  • 1 cup whipping cream (very cold)

Instructions

  1. Separate the cookies: Carefully separate each Oreo cookie to separate the creamy white middles from the chocolate cookie halves. Place the creamy middles into a large mixing bowl and set the cookie halves aside.
  2. Make cookie crumbs: Place the chocolate cookie halves into a food processor and pulse until they form fine crumbs. Alternatively, you can place them in a Ziploc bag and crush with your hands or a rolling pin until finely crumbled.
  3. Make the crust: Combine two-thirds of the cookie crumbs with the melted unsalted butter, mixing well to evenly coat the crumbs. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8×8-inch square pan to create an even crust layer.
  4. Beat the cream: Using an electric hand mixer, beat the cold whipping cream together with the reserved creamy middles from the Oreos. Continue whipping until stiff peaks form and the mixture is fully combined and fluffy.
  5. Layer the dessert: Spread the creamy Oreo filling evenly over the prepared crust. Then sprinkle the remaining one-third of the cookie crumbs evenly on top to finish the dessert.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate the dessert for 3 to 4 hours to allow it to set properly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the whipping cream is very cold for best whipping results.
  • You can substitute the Oreo cookies with any other sandwich cookie if preferred.
  • Use an 8×8 square pan or a similar-sized dish for assembling this dessert.
  • Press the crust firmly to avoid it crumbling when serving.
  • This dessert is best enjoyed within 1-2 days of preparation.
