Description
Enjoy a deliciously gooey and crunchy S’mores Crunchwrap, a creative twist on the classic campfire treat. Featuring layers of marshmallows, Hershey’s chocolate, and crispy Ritz or graham crackers wrapped inside a warm, golden toasted flour tortilla and coated with cinnamon sugar, this quick and easy skillet recipe is perfect for a sweet snack or dessert for two.
Ingredients
Crunchwrap Ingredients
- 2 large flour tortillas
- 3/4 cup marshmallows
- 1 Hershey’s chocolate bar (approx. 1.55 oz)
- 1 roll Ritz Crackers or Graham Crackers (about 15 crackers)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
Instructions
- Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: Mix together 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar and 1 1/2 tablespoons of cinnamon in a shallow dish and set aside for coating later.
- Heat Skillet and Melt Butter: Warm a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter, allowing it to melt completely to prevent sticking and add flavor.
- Assemble Tortillas with Marshmallows: Lay out the 2 large flour tortillas and evenly distribute 3/4 cup of marshmallows in the center of each one.
- Add Crackers and Chocolate: Place a few Ritz or graham crackers on top of the marshmallows, followed by pieces of the Hershey’s chocolate bar to create rich, melty layers.
- Layer More Crackers: Add another layer of crackers over the chocolate to build texture and crunch inside the wrap.
- Fold Tortilla Edges: Carefully roll the edges of each tortilla toward the center, creating multiple folds to fully enclose the filling and shape the crunchwrap.
- Toast Crunchwrap Side One: Place the crunchwrap seam-side down into the hot skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the tortilla turns golden brown and crispy.
- Flip and Toast Other Side: Flip the crunchwrap over and cook the other side similarly until it is nicely browned and heated through.
- Coat with Cinnamon Sugar and Serve: Remove the crunchwrap from the skillet and immediately press or sprinkle both sides with the prepared cinnamon sugar mixture, then serve warm for a gooey, crunchy treat.
Notes
- Use graham crackers if you prefer a more traditional s’mores flavor and texture.
- Adjust marshmallow quantity to your sweetness preference; mini marshmallows can be substituted as well.
- The butter can be replaced with cooking spray if desired for a lighter option.
- Be careful when folding tortillas; warm tortillas are more pliable and less likely to crack.
- Serve immediately for best texture as the crunchwrap tastes best warm and freshly made.
